No Regrets, Cross the Line
No Regrets, cross the line,
That’s what we said,
but what did we mean?
To have no regrets?
To never give up,
To never slow down,
To never slack up,
and never let a teammate down.
Why? It’s simple.
You’ll regret it.
You’ll be left wondering
about the what ifs.
What if you tried harder in workouts or taken running seriously?
Could it have...
made the difference of in the park and out?
stretched a single into a double?
a double into a triple?
starting or sitting?
a run or an out?
winning or losing?
Maybe not, but why take that chance?
That just might be the run that wins state,
or extra base that puts runners in scoring position,
and be the difference between State Champs and runner ups.
Why have to think about the what ifs?
Thats were the ...Cross the line part comes in.
What does that mean?
To give it your all,
To be a team player,
To never say never,
and to always do your best.
It’s a choice.
You don’t have to,
it’s your choice;
no one can make you.
No one can make you give your time
or work your hardest, or run your fastest.
But what about the team....?
What could happen if the whole team “crossed the line”?
What if....
